My Heart

Last May I went to pick up my 4 year old grandson, Justin Mark, from pre-school. 

I was a little early so I sat down in a chair in the hallway. 

I noticed a display of little hearts stuck to the wall with a sign overhead that said 

"What Present Would You Give God" 

On each little heart was the child's name and what he would give. 

Here are some of the presents the children said they would give....

ice cream cone, a puppy, a kitten, a pair of socks, mittens, power ranger, cookies and the list goes on and on like this. 

There was one heart with the name "Justin" and the gift was "my heart". 

Well I began to try to find out if this was a 4 year old class or if that was my Justin. 

When Justin Mark came out of the class room, I asked him if that display belonged to his class and he said "yes",

 and he pointed to his little heart and said 

"Nana, that is what I would give to God"...

"My Heart ".

With tears in my eyes, 

I reached down and hugged him and told him how proud I was of him for giving God such a perfect gift... 

His Heart!
